I’ll be teaching a new class at Remember Me Scrapbooking, just in time for Father’s Day.  Though I’ve designed it with my hubby in mind, the colours I’ve used are gorgeous shades of deep brown, dusky blue, white and a light mossy green, it is virtually useable for anyone, whether it be a male or female.

I’ve had this week off with Wil (well, mostly off, with a wee bit of work thrown in here and there…) and I’m really sad that it’s flown by so fast.  We’ve managed to go on mini dates throughout the week when the kids were in school.  As much as I love the girls, sometimes we really need the “we” time.

Yesterday, the kids stayed overnight at grandma’s house, so that we can make a daytrip to the USA for a little shopping.  First we headed to Bellingham so I could visit a little scrapbook store.  I managed to restrain myself and only bought a few pieces of paper and some American Crafts Thickers (love them!).  Then we headed to the outlets..

…all I can say is that the shopping down there is so much better!  We both bought Gap jeans and miscellaneous items from Nike.  We also hit Children’s Place and managed to buy some clothes for the kids at fantastic prices…$0.99 for shirts!! Can you believe that?

And a trip to the outlets are not complete without a visit to the Coach store…

Of course, after Wil bought me the purse, we found that they had opened a Kate Spade store!! So of course, I also ended up with

And of course I just HAD to pick up the matching wallet (*wink).  Sigh….and here I thought I would be good and try to be good this trip…

So, I’m scared to see how much duty will be charged on my Visa when I get my statement next month!

Despite my best intentions, I have not been very good about blogging…so here is a bit of what life was like in April…

In early April, we celebrated Bel’s 7th birthday.  I have to say this was probably one of the easiest parties I’ve ever had to host…after much deliberating, we decided to have just a very small party with some of our best friends.  Bel invited her cousins, and 5 of her best buds to celebrate at Build-A-Bear, where everyone got the chance to play games, sing, hop and best of all, build a stuffed toy and to dress them as well. Here is a photo of the happy group.

And since her birthday fell on a weekday, I had to make her cupcakes so that she was able to celebrate with all her school friends.
