Wow…I know I haven’t been on here in a long while but didn’t realize it’s been nearly 3 months!

It’s been a very busy three months.  We still haven’t hired a replacement for my boss at work, so I’m still doing a large portion of her job on top of my usual duties.  I’ve thought a lot on whether I would take that position on (better title, more money), but no mater how I look at it, I love MY job too much.  My job is flexible so that I am able not only to change my days off, but also to re-arrange my hours as I need to — this is fantastic when it comes to the kids.  I am able to attend virtually all their performances and to help out on field trips and such.  Plus, with my job, I get to interact with the students on a regular basis, and not just when it comes to disciplining them.  So many pros and cons, but I’m happy for now…if only there was someone who could help ease the load a bit.

As for scrapbooking, I haven’t been able to do much of that.  I haven’t been too inspired to play with my supplies in the last while…but a lot of it is due to the fact that I’ve discovered Facebook.  Though I’ve been using it on and off, I’ve been playing one of it’s applications a lot lately….Fluff Friends.  I’ve meet a world of new people that have amazed me with their support and generousity — some of them have become really great friends and we chat on a regular basis.

Nothing very exciting has happened, unless you count my encounter with a crazy man on February 13th.  I had decided to drive to Save-On Foods to purchase goodies for the girls’ Valentine school parties since I was too tired to make anything.  It was only around 8pm when I left the store, and as I drove up the driveway leading out, I noticed someone crossing.  So I stopped and waited.  As the man started walking past me, he turned around and jumped — I guess he didn’t realize that I was there.  Then he started screaming at me, and threw his bag at my car.  So my first thought was “crazy man — better leave” so I drove around him, and down the street.  Unfortunately I got stuck at the corner trying to merge in with traffic.  In the meantime, he ran down the block and started banging on my car and screaming!  So I drove into traffic and managed to get home without getting into an accident.  I called the police right away, and they said “I guess you didn’t have a cell phone when he was banging on your car”, and I said “well, I did, but my first thought was to leave because he was crazy”.  I guess they meant that they could possibly catch him at the scene of the crime, but since it took me 10 minutes to get home, that they most likely wouldn’t be able to catch him.  That does make sense, but how many of us would actually stay and wait rather than react on instinct?  My biggest fear was that he may have a gun or some type of weapon — or what if he broke my window?  Anyways, I wonder why some people are so strange and scary and absolutely insane?

On a more positive note, I will be uploading scrapbook projects in the next week or two.  I am finally getting back into creating in my scrapbook room!
